Who cares?

I believe 

in a world 

where all beings 

born into life, 

come into 

an existence 

where all 

co-exist 

in harmony, 

and 

where our 

collective life 

flourishes 

in peace 

and 

prosperity. 

We could 

very well 

manifest 

this 

future potential 

for all 

living things 

if we 

would but see 

that all 

is ourself. 

As a witness 

to 

our own life, 

wouldn't all life 

want life 

to be 

the most 

beautiful 

and 

lasting 

goodness? 

 That world 

is 

here, 

that beauty 

and 

that goodness 

is now. 

Yet, 

humanity has 

desecrated life- 

has polluted it, 

poisoned it, 

bombed it, 

hunted it, 

poached it, 

clear-cut it, 

irridiated it, 

genetically 

mutilated it, 

tortured it, 

vivisectioned it

 and we 

continually 

lay waste to life 

without reverence, 

without consciousness, 

without love. 

 We live 

out our lives 

as products 

of a 

society 

that accepts 

cultural memes 

and 

traditions 

mindlessly 

and 

at the 

detriment 

of others 

without 

understanding 

that the 

whole

 is 

inseparably linked 

to the part. 

We are 

capable 

of 

so 

much 

more, 

we could 

have 

such 

a 

better 

world, 

a better life.
